Michael Leddy has grown up with real estate around him all his life. With both of his parents being in real estate for over 60 years combined, Michael is very aware of the different aspects of real estate ranging from short term rentals, sales and leasing in both residential & commercial, to managing buildings and working with tenants in specifically San Francisco.
Early in his career he spent time at Pacific Union, where he worked with one of the top residential leasing teams in SF, working with rentals specifically in San Francisco that varied greatly from $2k/month to $20k/month. He learned all the intricacies of leasing in the pro-tenant city of SF and how to make sure the Landlord is covered to fullest extend within the leasing contracts.
After his time working specifically in leasing, he worked with Citibrokers Inc., a brokerage run by Enrique Rodriguez that owned over 18 properties throughout SF, with an emphasis in the Mission. During his time there, he oversaw finding new acquisitions, helping with 1031 exchanges, leasing, and managing the 250 units as being the main point of contact for tenants that ranged from 70sqft SRO (single rooms occupancy) rooms, city sponsored housing master tenants, to commercial tenants, including multiple bar/restaurants. Learning how to work these different environments has helped him tremendously understand how San Francisco operates from a landlord’s perspective.
Working with Vandermade, Michael has taken on commercial leasing/sales and done deals in different sectors including retail, industrial, automotive, and bars/restaurants. He has learned each of the different nuances necessary in order to get a deal done and correctly within San Francisco. Outside of San Francisco, Michael has done real estate in the east bay, as well listing single family homes in Southern Marin, where he is from.
Concurrently with Vandermade, Mike also manages over 100 units himself and runs a successful Airbnb business in the Tahoe/Truckee, having been awarded the “Superhost” title on Airbnb for the overly positive experience and positive reviews Mike has gotten from his guests.
